The Dex Holders(DONE!!!)
The Brother
--Basic Information--
Name: Dexter Karafuru
Nickname: "D", "The Fighter"
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Birthday: August 24
--Physical Information--
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 193 Lbs.
Physical Appearance:
Dexter is quite tall for his age(though not unnaturally so), standing at six foot one. Dexter is extremely careful to radiate superiority from his appearance, straying from 'standard teenager' as much as possible. He wears thin rimmed glasses that appear pristine and new, despite the fact that they've been in use for years. They are always perfectly clean and straight on his face, crookedness would not be tolerated. Many times with a slight adjustment of his glasses he can make them seem to reflect light as though a mirror, masking his bright blue eyes. His face is dotted with freckles here and there, though not a single blemish or pimple exist anywhere on his face. His smile is rarely seen, but when it is he shows perfect white teeth, that you'd think were bleached if you didn't look twice.
In terms of clothing, Dexter wears an immaculate uniform from a former private school he attended. The uniform folds over his chest akin to a double-breasted trench coat, with many interior pockets in which he stores his Pokedex and his twin pistols. He wears a pin on his lapel that is the mark of a victor in the Kanto Pokemon League, passed down through generations into his possession. He keeps it shining with a sheen that it has not seen since the day it was won. His pants are equally as clean, not a speck of lint or dirt ever inhabiting the surface. His shoes are a modified dress shoe with more durable soles to make moving in them as comfortable and easy as in sneakers. Underneath all this, Dexter wears a slick black nano-fiber bodysuit comprised of a combination of Kevlar and leather. He uses this bodysuit to compensate for his already lacking physical durability.
Any physical imperfection Dexter may harbor resides within his clothing, on his chest specifically. it is crisscrossed with scars and burn tissue gained from years of intense training. Some of his scars include a Bagon bite, and multiple Charmander burns.
Distinguishing Features:
His face has many freckles as mentioned previously, as well as the scars that line his chest. His glasses are also somewhat noteworthy for their shiny quality, and his pin often draws eyes.
--Characterization--
Personality:
Dexter's personality is, suffice to say, a quagmire to which a summary would do no justice. But in one word, he's been called many things. Bastard, Traitor. But on the opposite end, some have called him Legend, Powerful. His particular moral stance often makes him subject of controversy on both sides of the moral spectrum. He is borne of Red and Yellow, two ancient people considered to be Heroes by history. But Dexter strays from that stereotype, he doesn't believe in the ideals of his predecessors. Dexter's views stray towards the 'evil' side of the moral spectrum, drawing him hatred from so-called do gooders, as well as spite from the evil due to his lineage. But Dexter more than makes up for his blood in his beliefs. Dexter doesn't see anyone as a partner or a friend, outside of his Charizard- Every thing and every one is a means to an end, and that's that. Dexter doesn't believe in traditional heroism either- "Peace", "Love", all that. Dexter is sure the only way to peace and an ultimately better world, is a place where the strong rule over the weak, guiding them to do what is right, by their own codes. And if the road there is paved with blood, it doesn't matter to Dexter.
Dexter is often called selfish, and that's not untrue. He'll do whatever he needs to, to ensure he's on top. Dexter sees only his goals, aspirations, and worldview as the correct and justified ones, bugger to all else. More than once he's tricked his sister or even fainted a Pokemon she was about to catch in order to ensure that he was the stronger Battler. Speaking of battling, as far as is known, Dexter is far and away the strongest Pokemon battler on the known planet. This is fitting, as he was descended from Red, the greatest battler of all time. He's honed his skill from hours and hours on end of battling, making his skill entirely unparalleled. This skill is once again augmented by his ancestry, since the power of "The Fighter" runs in his veins. His connection to his Pokemon is unparalleled, he fights with them as though they were an extension of his own body. Oftentimes he doesn't need to call out attacks, they simply act as they know Dexter would have directed them. If any fault exists in Dexter's Pokemon or his battling, it is the sheer fact that, spare his Charizard, his Pokemon are afraid of him. For Pokemon to respect a trainer, the trainer must be powerful. But Dexter's prowess as a trainer is perhaps a step above just 'powerful'. This intimidates his Pokemon, they fear retribution for failure, and they all wonder if the day will come when Dexter will abandon them for not being strong enough. This is a double-edged sword, on the one hand, his Pokemon fight harder and faster than others might out of fear of abandonment, but on the flip side they may succumb to fear, resulting in the monsters being weak, quivering messes on the field of battle.
Furthermore, Dexter makes no room for failure for himself either. It is tantamount to him that he maintain the utmost superiority to those around him, in every way possible. This shines through in his attire, specifically designed to be a caliber above common dress. Dexter will reprimand himself for even the smallest mistake, even if it were as minor as failing to notice a speck of dust on his shined dress shoes. It is this trait that pushes him to give his 110% in every effort, but many times he runs the risk of over-exerting himself. Many times he's pulled sleepless nights, studying to ensure he aced every test presented to him, as well as being able to destroy any opponent in Pokemon battling. This lack of failure acceptance also makes him seem heartless and cold to others. Upon his first meetings of someone he can spend as much as several minutes picking out every little negative detail about them to further his own superiority complex.
In regards to people, Dexter has no friends, as stated previously. Everything is only a means to an end. Thusly, he tries not to 'waste time' on human interaction, outside of when he sees a particular person as... Beneficial. He'll play nice with anyone who he thinks can help him rise to the top, only to turn and push them back to the bottom after he's finished with them. He's made a lot of enemies in only sixteen years, but most who consider him enemy, he's already put on his mental 'vanquished foes' list. This trait also makes him a bit paranoid- Since he's thought this way for so long, the only logical conclusion is that others think this way too. In Dexter's head its a dog eat dog world out there, and he's set to be the one on top.

Charizard
- Charizard is Dexter's principal partner, as well as the only Pokemon he can Mega Evolve. Charizard has been with Dexter since his childhood, as is responsible for the burn tissue on Dexter' chest. This Charizard dwarfs the standard size of Charizards listed in the Pokedex by several feet, allowing Dexter to ride it comfortably. Charizard lives up the the strong and silent stereotype, and is one of the few among Dexters team who does not fear him, however Charizard respects and even loves Dexter tremendously, and would follow him to the ends of the earth.
Salamance
- Salamance is an out of control monster that Dexter has beaten into a corner. It started out as a wild Bagon that was the opposite of domesticated, it attacked everything in its path. It tried attacking Dexter, but between Charizard, who was a Charmeleon at the time, and D's own tenacity he'd captured Bagon, whipping it into shape through intensive training. But the animal still exists inside, waiting to be let out.
Metagross
-Metagross is a Pokemon who exists for gain of power, like its Master. Even since it was a wild Beldum it sook to dominate foes to become a masterful powerhouse. Until Dexter stumbled upon it- He was the first to ever best the Beldum in battle and added it to his team. Under Dexters care Metagross gets stronger and stronger every day, and it's physical attacks are arguably among the most devastating in Dexters arsenal.
--Ancestry,Ability, and Possessions--
Ancestor: Red and Yellow, from Pokemon(though he takes more after Red)
Rivals: Ancestors of Protagonists of Pokemon, 'Heroes' in general
Known Techniques:
-While having no explicit 'techniques', his battling skill is unparalleled. His skill with firearms is also quite considerable.
Owned Weapons:
Twin Pistols: Dexter keeps two pistols tucked within the folds of his coat. There pistols fire somewhat high caliber rounds compared to similar handguns. He keeps various types of round on her person, mostly standard HP rounds, but he also packs Full Metal Jackets for anti-armor gunfire, Shredder Rounds for lightly armored or unarmored targets, and he owns a single magazine of explosive rounds.
The Sister
--Basic Information--
Name: Naomi Karafuru
Nickname: "Nomi"(Meaning "Little Naomi" in Hebrew), "Nay", "The Healer"
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Birthday: August 24
--Physical Information--
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 163 Lbs.
Physical Appearance:
Naomi's appearance differs greatly from her brother's. Physically she's smaller and shorter than her brother, though her muscles are much more clearly defined. She has calluses on her hands and feet from years of climbing trees, and a few tiny scars pockmark her face and hands, as well as a large one on her knee, all from years of adventuring and time spent in the woods. She has a off-white smile that's oddly charming, with teeth that perhaps could have used a set of braces. She has nice, friendly pale green eyes that seem to radiate happiness, and long blonde hair that descends all the way down her back to her waistline. She'll sometimes put it up in a ponytail, or through some insurmountable effort manage to hide it all underneath a backwards baseball cap. She has light yet uneven tans across her body as well as very tiny yet noticeable 'love nibble' scars from her Pokemon.
Clothing wise she dresses like your average teenage girl. She'll often wear generic band t-shirts or shirts with phrases that someone probably thought was witty, once. Her shirts often have grass stains or other dirty markings on them, and many times they'll have fresh forest grime on them. She likes wearing shorts(because they're comfy and easy to wear), typically jean shorts that end about halfway down her thighs. Her pockets will be overflowing with candy, leaves, pebbles, and occasionally crumpled pieces of paper that have something she needs to remember written on it. She also has a neon yellow drawstring backpack that's filled with Pokemon related items but is strangely devoid of any healing items. The last bit that tends to make up her clothing is her baseball cap- It's a red cap, passed down through generation after generation, and finally given to her. It's extremely old and ratty, almost beginning to fall apart, but she wears it with pride.
Distinguishing Features:
Her hat is quite noticeable, as it somehow comes off as 'out of place' on her appearance, as something that seems like it should belong there, but something special about it makes it so that it simply doesn't. Her scars are also quite noticeable.
--Characterization--
Personality:
Naomi is a wild child, to say the least. She was never easy to raise, but, then, neither was her brother. Naomi hates rules, and she hates following them even more. It's not that she has an active problem with authority, no- It's that she likes to do things her way, and oftentimes rules will say silly things like "you have to sit in your chair now, Naomi." when the better thing to do is obviously to climb the tree outside. Naomi has lived an extremely carefree and fun life until recently, so she sometimes has trouble feeling the gravity or seriousness of virtually any situation- Except when regarding her brother. Though Naomi is the one less concerned with 'rules' or any sort of code, she does have a extremely strong sense of right and wrong, and for years something didn't fell right about Dex. In the past few months he hasn't been around the house and something feels wrong in Naomi's heart. She wants nothing but the best for her brother and is afraid he's turning to the wrong side of things. Her number one objective is to make sure her friends, family, Pokemon, and most importantly Dexter are a-okay.
Naomi is an extremely outdoorsy type, loving to climb trees and explore in the forests. She goes outside far more than Dexter ever did- While he was inside studying, she was collecting bugs or attempting to haphazardly build a tree house. There are rarely any days when she doesn't come home covered in grime and muck. She is enamored with everything to do with the woods- Animals, bugs, trees, and knowledge of the natural world. At the same time she loves science, biology(for obvious reasons) and physics because it helps her understand precisely why things work the way they work. In her short time in the world, Naomi has grown extremely knowledgeable about it. While Dexter might have a more 'book smart' brain than her, she understands people and how they work and interact, as well as quite the impressive handle of current events.
Speaking of current events, lately she has been increasingly interested in the tensions between ancestors. The whole 'good vs. evil' dealio. She doesn't subscribe to the idea that who you're descended from makes you good or evil, but it's what you do with your gifts that makes you who you are. Knowing that she is one of those ancestors, she aligns herself with the likes of the pure of heart, wanting to beat the bad guys! Somewhat uncharacteristically of a nature lover, she actually enjoys violence to a certain degree. She loves the thrill of a good fight, the way her heart starts pumping and her mind starts racing. However, she doesn't like the people who she fights for getting hurt- Screw bad guys, by all means, but leave her friends alone!
She makes friends very easily. To some of her closer friends(and Dexter) she's called "Nomi" meaning little Naomi, even when she might be bigger or older than some of her friends, simply because she's quite like a little sister. Naomi hangs out with her friends whenever possible- Whenever asked for suggestions on what to do, she'll always suggest something outdoors but will by completely happy to goof off inside if that's what her friends want. Naomi is completely happy to go along with what her friends are doing, but if she thinks something immoral is about to happen, she puts her foot down. Naomi may not lose her temper often, but when she does, she loses it. Screaming, kicking, punching, yelling, demands, whatever she needs to do to make what's right happen.
Towards he Pokemon, she doesn't seem them as partners, tools, or even friends. To her, they're her family and she loves them just as much as her brother.

Pikachu
- Pikachu is Naomi's second Pokemon, gaquired quite early in her childhood. She found it in the woods as a Pichu, and loves it with all her heart. Pikachu believes it is far stronger than it is, and it's confidence in itself is remarkable. It sees itself as a knight in shining armor, bound to protect Naomi and is overly protective of her. It is the fastest Pokemon Naomi owns.
Arcanine
-Growlithe was the first Pokemon given to Naomi. It had a trainer before her, Naomi's father, and Growlithe was given to her with the intent to make sure daddy's little girl was safe, no matter what. Now as an Arcanine it is an older Pokemon, no longer retaining the youthful; energy of a young pup. It will still spring into action when it sees a legitimate threat to Naomi, though.
Psyduck
-Psyduck is the most recent addition to Naomi's team, having been caught only a few months ago. Naomi refers to it as her "senile old man". It is the weakest Pokemon on her team and it dodders around as though not understanding what to do or where to go. The only constant with this Pokemon is that it often senses when people are feeling down and attempts to comfort them.
--Ancestry,Ability, and Possessions--
Ancestor: Red and Yellow from Pokemon(though she takes more after Yellow)
Rivals: Giovanni, Team Rocket, Team Magma/Aqua, Team Galactic, Team Plasma, Team Flare
Known Techniques:
-Healing Touch: When she wants them to, Naomi's hands have potent healing abilities. A single touch will cure almost all minor paper cuts and tiny bruises. Laying a hand on will clear up scrapes and plenty of bruises. For a more hands on healing experience, she can put both hands on a large wound and wait roughly an hour until the recipient is restored to full health. She can mend broken bones over the course of about two days, and she can even force lost limbs to grow themselves back if she spends two weeks with her hands on someone, of course, regrowing lost limbs is painful for the recipient. This ability also allows her to restore her Pokemon from a knocked out status to full health within a few minutes. Of course, it's not so good that they'd be back into the fight immediately- She'd need protection while preforming this heal.
-Heal Beam: Naomi has the ability to fire a beam of healing energy from her hands, having the same effect as her healing touch. The drawback, however, is that this slowly damages Naomi herself.
-Healing Wish: As she has learned of in tales of ancestors of Yellow before her, she has a special power- The Healing Wish. It is definitely a last ditch power, but it is extremely useful. Using this power, Naomi can forfeit all her healing abilities(not including the ability to control Pokemon) permanently, in order to preform a massive heal upon someone. This could restore a hundred year old man to the prime of his life, and fix someone up to good as new who is on the doors of death. The Healing Wish has a second option, however- If someone dies, and she chooses to, she may use the healing Wish to sacrifice her life and her powers to bring them back to life. This only works on the recently deceased, however, and the corpse needs to be readily accessible. Anyone that has been dead for more than 36 Hours, this ability will not work.
-Over Heal: Over Heal is her most combat oriented power. She can direct her Heal Beam at a fully healthy person, causing them a dramatic increase in durability, stamina, and power. This effect may also be applied to her Pokemon.
Owned Weapons:
She keeps a butterfly knife on hand, just in case.
--Joint History--
The life of the Dex Holders began on a sunny August 24th. It was coming sometime around noon when Dexter emerged, a slightly weak baby, but nothing a few days of hospital food and formula wouldn't fix. About two minutes after his sister came out, a stronger yet smaller baby than her brother.
The two were introduced to Pokemon as soon as they were born. Her mother had a Chansey, which was dead set on seeing its masters new offspring, and the Pokemon was delighted with them. After a few days in the hospital the babies were brought home, immediately being welcomed by a large extended family and many, many Pokemon. As a baby, in those first few days of life, Dexter was drawn to big cousin Anthony's Charizard, reaching out to it or flapping his lips excitedly or crying, trying to reach it. Naomi, on the other hand, gravitated towards her father's newest Pokemon, a Growlithe.
They grew up normally, as normal as Ancestors can, anyway- Surrounded by Pokemon and a massive extended family, comprised of cousins and uncles and aunts and many family friends. Even as a toddler, Dexter tried to withdraw from this kind of contact, always wanting to do something 'away' from the people, play with the Pokemon or try to climb the stairs or chew on building blocks. Naomi however gravitated towards people- As a little girl she always wanted to be with people, touching the nice, soft fabric of their clothing and playing peek a boo with them.
At age six, the pair received their first Pokemon- Dexter was given a freshly hatched Charmander, gifted to his family through one of his many cousins. He was very happy with it, loving to cuddle with the tiny bundle of warmth that it was. Naomi got her dad's Growlithe- The pokemon was too young to be bred for more, so her father opted to give it to her, making the little Pokemon promise to protect her. Naomi called it her "lil pup!" and loved playing in the woods with it, throwing sticks or balls for them all to be brought back.
Once they started going to first grade, a divide began to form between Dexter and Naomi- Mostly of Dexter's creation. Whenever Naomi would suggest they play outside or go look for Pokemon, Dexter would shake his head and run up stairs, trying to search facts about numbers or colors or addition or subtraction as best as a seven year old could instead. While Naomi ran around outside Dexter pressed buttons on computers, waiting for something to happen. It was in first grade, however, that they were introduced to the concept of Pokemon battling. Cousin Anthony was over and asked the kids if they wanted to see something cool- intrigued, they nodded their tiny heads and Anthony had a mock battle between his Charizard and his Talonflame, the Pokemon gracefully battling in the air, fire arcing between the two. Immediately, Dexter and Naomi tried to battle each other- Dexter, always more analytically of such situations, had quickly picked up what to do, destroying Naomi in battle. Next he challenged Anthony. His cousin went easy, but he still mopped the floor with Dexter. From then on, Dexter decided that he would become the strongest there was, to beat Anthony, and anybody else! While her cousin and brother battled, Naomi was in the woods, and it was there she found her Pichu. She caught it, and its been a valuable friend ever since.
Years passed by, Dexter getting stronger in battle and Naomi traversing the woods, while the divide only grew. Dexter demanded to battle and Naomi accepted, only for her brother to pulverize her Pokemon again and again. Dexter still refused to follow Naomi outside, always staying in, studying or perfecting his strategy while her sister collected bugs or hunted for more Pokemon. During all of their birthday parties while Naomi's friends came by the dozens, none of Dexter's came at all. Unless the cake was being cut, Dexter never came down from his room. At around thirteen, Dexter started being... Antagonistic towards his sister. Yelling at her, sneering, a variety of nasty things. Naomi didn't care, though. This continued for many years, until a few weeks ago, Dexter disappeared. Naomi's only lead is some place called Kondo City...

Re: The Dex Holders(DONE!!!)
In my first read, this is quite good. I don't particularly like the Over Heal, ain't that bad. I will approve of this, for now. Subject to change, however.
You won't be able to get any new Pokemon until we fix a random encounter system.
